IB is originally from baccaloréat internationale, from the French education system--which is typically much harder. But yeah--weak.

Honestly tho, 60% of my friends are in IB, and I can confidently say to you that the overwhelming majority of IB kids lack "regular" social skills. There has been 1 jock in IB out of like 400 IB kids in the past two years at my school. 98% of IB kids are shy asians who do pretty much nothing much asides from studying. I'm serious. The regular classes i took might not have been as tough as IB, but its still f'n hard to get a 98% average and be the salutatorian of your graduating class of 600

I don't know about the IB since only AP is used where I live, but the kids I know in AP classes are extremely articulate, highly motivated kids that will be running the world in 20 years. They work very hard and play very hard, but they know how to prioritize.

Man IB is the shit, I'd be all over it if it was in my district.
