If i give you 1% of the total people that have died in car/industrial accidents were stoned your argument is still terrible.Quote:

I wasnt advocating drugs as being better than sport. Just saying statistically , its much healthier.
Even taking heroin is safer than fishing. Go figure.
Are you retarded?Quote:

Actually I'm not. I just like his point and have a sense of humor.Quote:

But to validate your point, my next tactic to beat this thing is to actually build up a repertoire of straight activities. They need to be exciting and interesting, to keep me interested, needs to cost enough so I can't afford to smoke but not so much that I can't afford the activity.
So far I have come up with gardening and yoga. Sports are not my thing. I used to be creative / artistic but at the moment all of my creativity is dedicated to my son. Suggestions are appreciated. I apologise in advance if I appear to dump on people's ideas. Funds are limited and I'm basically limited to things that are local and during school hours.
And what will you be "planting" exactly? LOLZQuote:

I have peas, strawberries, spring onions, lettuce and tomatoes in the veg patch. I have thyme, oregano, mint chocolate, parsley, chilis and aloe vera in pots. I live in NSW and have flats over my back fence. Growing anything else isn't plausible. Hydro is too expensive. :)Quote:

This thread should be on Jerry Springer
Steve Wilkos would deal better with it ;)

And to think I used to watch springer to feel normal.
Oh if anyone cares, my brother and I are talking again.
What utter crap! Mwahahateeheeheehoohah! Plenty of people have died smoking weed, but they died happy! I tried it once, that was the first time I died, laughing my guts out, choked on my swolen tongue, but never felt a thing, turns out I'm allergic! Bugger!Quote:

Maidenminx - you have a lot of substance abuse issues. You really need to stop doing ALL this stuff, and quit making excuses for why you do it before social services takes your boy away, and before your addiction ruins his childhood. It's not appropriate to blame your brother for being a "trigger". It really sounds as though any excuse will do, and I agree that focusing your energies on a trivial argument with your brother is an attempt to avoid the elephant in the room.
Now tell me why your doctor (who doesn't want you taking whatever it is you were taking) is prescribing it for you anyway? What drugs are you taking?
Agree with Vashti: It's time to face the piper, Minx. You've been in denial for sometime now and if you're smoking pot and discussing how your brother bogartted his joint my friend, in front of your 8 year old son, then you've lost track of your priorities. You sound like a typical addict who gets bent out of shape when they didn't get their fix for the day.. (btw.. No I don't think it's rude that he ignored your apology. I think he's just not ready to readily take your verbal abuse and allow you to think he'll dismiss it just because you say you're sorry) and I tell you this because there's no sense beating around the bush any more. Both you and hubby could use some friends around the table at your local AA meeting. Speak to your doctor about detoxing and in the meantime google for an AA chapter near you. Do you think hubby would join you in a quest for sobriety?
I'm in the camp that thinks booze is far more harmful than weed would ever be in destroying lives and the family dynamic when it's being abused so don't think I'm giving a predjudicial opinion here.
Big E-hug to you. Don't take offense please but it is what it is... at least you're certainly painting a picture of it being that.
So you didn't read where I said the crap was prescribed by someone other than my usual doctor? I couldn't get in to see my usual doctor, so I saw someone else. I went to the dr because I was in the middle of a 72 hour off and on dizzy spell. He gave me endep (a tri-cyclic antidepressant) and said to take one a night. After the 4th night I started experiencing the extremely dark mood. I am now on no medication. My actual dr sent me to the optometrist and has me on the waiting list to see a neurologist.Quote:

So did everyone miss the bit where I was NOT smoking when my brothers moved back? I had my 23 yr old ADHD 6'4" brick shithouse living with me. Family is important to me so I wasn't going to let him stay on the streets and their were literally no affordable hotels with vacancies in the area. Now this brother isn't the one the thread was started about. I don't know how to describe this brother effectively enough so you'll understand why he was a trigger, but anyone who has ever dealt with addiction personally will understand that some people and situations will make you seek out your drug of choice. If I wasn't living with him I could have told him to piss off when he was getting to me. Ok, here's a way to get through to you what my brother is like, the only way I can ever get him to calm down, and quit insulting me, pestering me, and quite often hurting me is to threaten to call the police. It pisses him off and he hates me threatening him like that but it's the ONLY leverage I have on him.
Seriously, when he is around the only way I can retain any sanity is to be stoned enough to not take him personally.
