I had to start titrating a man's cardiac medication down at work so he could die, and I had a 42 year old woman with terminal lung cancer and barely controllable pain. Sad times. :(

oh dang that sucks.
baby has cold. mama no sleep.
Day was going well, even with a really, really early start at 2:30 am. But now I have to stay late tonight at work. Someone called in, but for an acceptable reason. Just a little annoyed because by the end I'm gonna be dragging.
not again! she looks great and healthy on the pictures though :)Quote:

yeah my poor baby has inherited one of my least enjoyable medical problems. allergies. the kind that are miserable and get more miserable and ugly as time goes on. it seriously makes me want to cry.
My neck is fcuking agony...minor surgery my arse....two great big holes in my neck!
Friday nights are very boring without alcohol. I ended up just staying at uni studying until 8.30pm because I knew I'd just be bored once I got home. And no I'm home and I am bored, and I'm about to go to bed and it's only 9.30pm.
Now 11 days without a drop of alcohol. It's been an interesting experiment. Made me realise what a big part of my life alcohol actually is. I do feel MUCH healthier, more energy, better focus with work and study. But man it's boring.
Good job Charlie :) but what made you stop drinking? Your gf? job or what ?
Nothing in particular. My sister said she was having a dry March, so I said I'd do it with her. Except my sister has already caved! She had a glass of wine on Wed night when she was out at dinner. And she's going away to a beach house for the weekend and she said she's going to drink too. Another girl at work was doing it too, but she's caved as well. It's just me now.
It is good for me to be doing this. I'd got in the habit of having 1-2 beers a night Mon-Thurs. Then on the weekend I'd have a night at home with my girlfriend where we'd get a movie or whatever and I'd have 4-5 drinks, and a night out where I'd have anything from 10-15 drinks, or even more. I'm getting too old to be drinking that much. The old body doesn't bounce back like it used to.
I understand you. I was drinking pretty much too. I don't remember why I stopped, but now I can do a party with 3 cocktails instead of 10 plus 10 shots of something ;) On tuesday, I was at the bar with my bf , drank 3 Long Island Iced Teas and gee I was drunk :D That wouldn't happen before ,when I could drink 10 shots of tequila, plus few glasses of martini and still be pretty fine ;) Alcohol is great, but after few years of drinking it often, it's not fun anymore, it's like you're used to it and you can't have fun without it . You might say it's a bit of an addiction ;) Maybe not terribly bad , but it is.
The pictures/video coming out of Japan are horrifying.
i am afraid it's gonna come our way as wellQuote:
