I don't want to keep traveling like this. I just want to be home with my girlfriend, I miss my girlfriend.
I was going to make a different thread, then I remembered this one existed.
Anyway, today, my girlfriend and I went to a coffee place near where I live. We walked on in, and I order her favorite thing twice (it's my favorite, too).
The dude at the register asks if the other one's for my boyfriend, and I just reply "Nah, the other one's for my girlfriend over there."
The register guy says "I'm really sorry, I have a problem with lesbians, I'll have to get a different cashier".
So some other dude comes up, profusely apologizes, and gives us discounts for the trouble.
WHAT THE HELL, PEOPLE?
ha ha ha! hilarious! are you going to sue them?Quote:

Nah, It's no big deal, the people who work there are already kinda hostile. Also, I'm used to those sorts of behavior.Quote:

At least they had someone who cared (second cashier).
What annoyed me today? Nothing. Not one damned thing :)
I'm writing a 3000 word essay on market securities law and recent reforms to auditing regulations.
Be sure to use loads of adjectives to make it easier on yourself. That's what I do.Quote:

it's probably interesting to you because you're borderline autistic. I'm sure you also find train timetables engrossing.
Probably about as interesting as my 2500 word essay on exploring and defining brutalist architecture >,< Which is due innnn.....14 hours and 40 minutes. It's gonna be a long night.
Or as Charles, the Prince of Wales put it:
"You have to give this much to the Luftwaffe - when it knocked down our buildings it did not replace them with anything more offensive than rubble. We did that."
Actually considering using that as an opening quote for the essay for the sake of my own amusement.
I've got a rough 2000 words. Enough for tonight. I've got work tomorrow. Then prob have a late one tomorrow night to finish. Then get cracking on the 40% assignment due on Friday. I love this part of the semester.
As someone on the other side of the essay writing enterprise...grading the damned things is even more nightmarish.Quote:

Anyway, it IS an interesting subject from a corporate responsibility view. I think its good to make CEO/CFOs more responsible for the shit that some companies pull.
My own refusal to stop being lazy today. Accomplished basically nothing and it wasn't even a good lazy day as my apartment is filthy and it's driving me nuts... just no motivation whatsoever..
Stupid gloomy Seattle. It's so hard getting energy when from 5 am to 9 pm there literally isn't a speck of sunshine in the sky.
