First thing in the morning my boyfriend telling me our anniversary isn't special or exciting only the "big" marks like years are after I said happy anniversary to him since today marked a year and a half (where every month prior he was always more enthusiastic about it). Then verizon has been deciding to not receive or deliver some of my texts, it's so annoying to have to keep asking "did my message send?" after ten minutes of waiting in between each response, pretty much defeats the purpose of texting. Today in general annoyed me.
Same. This year was expected to be the lowest turn-out ever. Many parents are taking their children to places like the mall instead.Quote:

It's ok to celebrate such anniversaries like months during the first year of relationship, as usually people are still in a honey moon stage, after that it just doesn't make sense, so I don't blame him. You'll understand it, once your relationship last at least few years. There's no need to be mad at him. He's reasonable.Quote:

Maybe in US it's kind of a big thing, but the halloween that came to Europe is most likely a result of marketing . Shops needed to sell all those carnaval costumes, so they decided to adopt the halloween tradition here ;) I don't celebrate it cause actually I grew up in Poland, where on 1st and 2nd of november we go to the cementary to celebrate All Saints and "Zaduszki" (All souls day) and visit dead relatives . It was always rather a muse or even a sad day (at least for me) . Don't know if I ever be able to think about those days differently . Besides in this part of Germany where I live, it's not a day off so I cannot even party, cause I have classes on the next day ...Quote:

And I get annoyed by product placement everywhere in the tv... Music video clips, tv series, tv shows... If it would be done with a taste and without disturbing, I'd be fine. But I watch this idiots J.LO video clip, where they do product placement every 10 seconds !!!
Yes. My brit relatives think halloween is strange. Going door to door begging for food, they call it.Quote:

If you back up your threats it's not begging, it's extortion ;)Quote:

Wasted my afternoon on the phone to the French embassy and the British embassy in France, and i'm still no closer to getting an answer to my question. I'm now attempting to send them an email...with the limited French I know, its proving quite difficult and will probably make no sense to them and I will still probably not have an answer to my question.
Why do the French have to complicate everything.
What do you need from french embassy?Quote:
