My take on your posts is that he started to say 'things' b/c he knows if he doesn't come up with *something* its hello Mr. Hand. He doesn't have the actual balls to lie and say he loves you, so he's flailing with this.

But, hey, you involved yourself with someone you know who cheats, and who didn't take time to fix whatever it is in his head that is leading to his infidelity/emotional detachment. Sounds more like you have a flawed way of picking mates, mate.
