Its totally a psych technique to pretend to be open about something to observe a response. I've done this often in a business setting to learn where I can trust my employees. But I wouldn't use the word vulnerable to describe this. And it has no place in close personal relationships, Cam. Certainly not longterm ones. You've got serious trust issues if you think this.

I agree with this

Also a lot of people develop an ability to sense cunning or sense themselves being manipulated. Not everyone is gullible, many can genuinely see the difference between the real vulnerability and a tactic of gain. The moment the person senses manipulation is the moment they close up and relationship needs to be jump started all over again.

Nothing much, raping my schoolwork into submission and at the moment procrastinating while I enjoy a nice buzz I've managed to attain

I have learned that there are some things you just don't need to share. I have complained to current boyfriends about what has happened in past relationships before and found it to be a mistake because they seem to think if the other guy got away with it they can to. I think from this point forward I will set my standards early in the relationship by not revealing how I've been hurt and manipulated in the past by family and boyfriends. It's not like these are things that really matter anyway. You can know what a person is like without knowing every detail of what makes them that way.
