As opposed to a party that steals from its people and still doesn't give a damn about the country. A slacker party would be an improvement.

The system really only supports two parties. If a third party turns up and actually gains momentum they'll just be cannibalizing themselves by stealing votes from the party most in line with their views, allowing the other party to win. For that reason they'd end up being assimilated into one of the two parties.
