The Na'vi have four fingers (3 fingers + 1 thumb), Jake had 5 fingers, although I assume thats because his avatar is a mixture of human and Na'vi DNA.Quote:

But yeah, I agree, a lot of the animals appeared way too similar, and some of the genetic mutations nonsensical (6 legs? why? what evolutionary advantage would six feet give an animal that would make that redundancy an attractive trait to overcome its high energy cost and additional body weight - okay, I'm a nitpicky asshole and its unrealistic to have such high expectations of movie makers, but the constant 'hey everybody, everything has 6 legs on our planet - isn't that alien?' theme really bothered me).
I did like Avatar, I thought the 3D effects were cool, and I'm glad somebody forced all these movie theaters to upgrade to digital and 3D tech, this will make it much cheaper for other movie makers to roll out similar films, I'm hoping Alice in Wonderland (3D) will have as cool effects.
Films I'd recommend: Taking Woodstock, District 9, Paradise Now.
