i'm sure the girl is not that thick, she knows she has put on weight if she owns clothes..shopping for the sizes and her old clothes size are clear and they have no sympathy. she feels confident enough not to care or she has decided not to worry about it. either way i think mentioning it might make her insecure about her body. hints work better. straight out saying it as qwerty suggests is just cruel. it like saying you're ugly qwert get some plastic surgery.
No on the hypoglycemic symptoms.... they will be hyperglycemic, and have the associated symptoms, but they do it enough, they will be skinny. :PQuote:

Insulin causes sugar absorption by the body, yes? Diabetics who do not take insulin will have high blood sugar, unabsorbed. I think we agree on this. So, low insulin = blood hyperglycemia with those symptoms (nerve damage, etc) but they will experience hypoglycemic symptoms b/c their body is still not obtaining sugar even tho their blood levels are high.
Am I missing something? How else can the weight loss occur except that the blood sugar is not actually being metabolized? Which is, physiologically, a sugar deficit (i.e. hypo)?
EDIT - okay, I read up on this a bit more. They don't get loopy symptoms of hypoG b/c the brain doesn't require insulin to absorb the glucose (tho it apparently makes some insulin and seems linked to Alzheimers). Low insulin = fat metabolism but the high blood glucose is toxic. So yes, seems like a silly way to control one's weight.
