Condition of the case matters not. You dont get more money. We look at the disk and scan the sucker and gamestop has a set price for it. the prices change all the time but Id say you get about 30 bucks for a new game and 17 for a great game and 5 bucks for an older game like ps2 games. You cant get quotes over the phone btw. they dont accept n64 anymore or snes or ps1 games. You can get paid in cash or store credit. if you choose cash you get 20% less. like you would get 10 bucks store credit but only 8 bucks in cash. I personally dont trade in my games because I hate getting half or less then half of what I paid for them. But if you play alot of games or need money or anything you should do it. If alot of your games are old then you probably arent looking at alot of money for trading them in. You can always take in a handful and see how much you can get for them and decide not to trade any in. Just dont bring them into me cuz Id hate you for doing that :D
You sound a little more down to earth, now.Quote:

I have so many trade-in/bad customer horror stories it's not even funny anymore.
One time after this kid and his dad traded in their PS2, accessories and games, totaled at 52 individual pieces (yes, I remember the number because it was so absurd)...even after I repeatedly asked them if they were sure they wanted to trade them in because they both seem skeptical at the credit they were getting for everything, somewhere around a 120-150 dollars in credit...even after I tell them trade-ins were final...we get a phone call later that week from the angry mother who said she wanted everything back, she went and even talked to our DM...she comes in on Sunday and I had to recover each and every one of the games and accessories. It took me over an hour on top of helping other customers and shit. So that meant we only had 1 other computer to ring up sales It was ridiculous. I made sure she understood my frustration.
GAH i hate only having two registers. three employees stand around waiting to use it while customers wait in line nonstop. Im surprised you recovered all the ps2 pieces and half of them werent sold off. The worst thing I have to say is our particular store has some serious puppet FUNK. It smells like rotting pussy and unwashed clothes. Especially in back. Makes your clothes smell that way too by just standing in there. At first i didnt want to say anything, being one of the only girls with a whole lotta smelly guys but the customers have started complaining so the Febreeze is goin with me next time.. not to mention the lack of vacuuming in several years
and i always thought that the disc's condition would matter the most.i just wanted to dispose some coz i cant see myself playing it in the future due to the rapid influx of awesome games, where can i get an updated list of values?is it on the internet?Quote:

Sad.
I just didn't use it at all anymore after I got bored of it and the achievement whore losers that are on there. I am sure you noticed my slow decrease on live over time. I decided to open up the money I have in it and got a good opportunity to sell it. There is still an old one which belongs to my brother in the basement. Maybe one day when I find the need to go on I will.Quote:
