Really, how could someone follow a book (the Bible) that is full of inconsistencies? At least my beliefs are consistent. And my beliefs don't include protecting child molesters like the Pope did. For many years, official Papal doctrine was to not release any information the church had on child molestor cases.

These attitudes just show how far our morals have fallen. You know, my Youth Pastor says todays generation are the 'Internet Porn' Generation. Kids who have sex rammed down their throats from an early age through MTV, movies and the media, the internet where porn is easily accessible even to little kids who have their innocence ripped from them. Thats why people think sodomy and swallowing semen are normal parts of a loving relationship, because they have been able to easily view a steady diet of porn on the web, and think the perversions that go on in those disgusting films are actually normal. They are far from normal. Maybe most girls have been brainwashed into thinking these things are the norm because of peer pressure from this sick generation. But they are really not normal or healthy parts of a loving relationship, and should never be.Quote:

However this "I am better then everyone here" bs is what makes me annoyed. I am going to go a little "preachy" for a minute, this isn't directed at anyone but hopefully the OP, and then I shall leave it be. Some of the biggest issues I have with organized religion revolve around what everyone proclaims in their "Gods" name. If God wishes me to destroy all unbelievers, or push abstinence, he can come down and tell me to do so. I am a firm believer in God, and in that God knows how to touch my heart, and the hearts of others. If I do something to help another in a way God wants, it will come about by me just being me, not by me taking some active account of that person in Gods name. Who am I to speak on God's behalf? However, if by living my life in such a way that I know God is happy with me, then if I happen to be in a place to lead a example to others, or inadvertantly touch someone in a good way, then great. As a example, I would help someone on the side of the road who was broke down, not because God says it is a good thing to do, but because I feel it is a good thing to do, but I am the type of person that would stop and help because of what God has done and does do in my life.
