Well as mishanya said chris brown is obviously an idolized star of all ages. That brings the case in direct connection with his career. It's not just him and rihanna...I know there is gonna be some dumb 12 yr old boy who grows up thinking oh well it's ok to beat the shit out of my gf if she slaps me because nothing happened to chris brown except that he has to do some community service and take some bullshit class for a year with probation. The bottom line is if some "regular joe schmo" out there beat the shit out of some woman he would be doing time in jail and would not be able to get a job if they pulled up his record...along with the probation AND community service after he gets out.

Look at what he did and look at what the consequences, is it just doesn't add up. He got off way easy. Even if Rihanna is fkn stupid for being with him.

I agree with you all who thinks he is scum and deserves jail time, but I disagree with taking his career away for it. His career will fizzle out on it's own regardless because majority of people have already turned their back on him. Plus, as stated before, parents are taking away the cd's and stuff so how can he make money doing nothing?

My thing is that alot of people are saying on here that it is never right to hit a WOMAN, as if had it been a man it would be fine. I call it sexist because it should go both ways, not just one way. A woman doesn't have to be strong and muscled up to hurt a man. One hard slap or punch in the face will be enough regardless.

I am really starting to wonder what kind of women you all grew up around because it seems like it was a bunch of prissy fits who dont know how to handle themselves in a bad situation.

I believe it was right here on LF where we was talking about Rihanna taking him back, and someone(possibly me) said she can not be a good role model after doing such a thing. And the response was that she's not meant to be a role model she's just a woman trying to live her life and get over the incident.

But YET, here we are saying he is such a bad role model and blah blah....why is HE a supposed role model, and not Rihanna?

Hey i don't think anyone can dispute the fact she was probably in the wrong too. The real problem is, this guy can beat the shit out of her and she wouldn't be able to do a thing...That is why extreme measures have to be taken to make sure this guy never touches a woman again. As for her taking him back, she's obviously not very bright...It happens way too often where a woman will still keeps seeing a guy who is beating her.

But that's the thing nobody is saying oh she's a saint or whatever, and she is definitely dumb for even thinking about getting back with him after that. But there's a difference between beating the shit out of someone and having someone try to get back together with someone they shouldn't be with. That's not an excuse for stupid behavior on her part though..and just for the record....it really isn't ok for a woman to hit a man either..

And that's what I've been trying to say here throughout the thread because alot of women seem to believe its okay because it is socially unacceptable to hit a woman and some men dont do it because thats what they were taught.

Like I said, I agree that he was wrong.Dead wrong. I just dont believe she was innocent at all, hence the reason she doesnt even want him prosecuted. She just wants to go on with her life and leave it alone. I just think they're both crazy people.

i think instead of worrying about their careers people should put their focus on their children and in making sure that they do not grow up to become beaters or think it's okay to get beaten up.
