Tiger Woods is no more a slave to rich businessmen than you are to whomever writes your checks. In fact, I would argue he's less of a slave b/c unlike you, he doesn't have supervisors. He pretty much does whatever he wants and companies pay him to use his image, not the other way around. Plus he earns tens of millions from winning golf tournaments. Again, unlike you, he could retire now if he wants and still make millions just from doing what he loves. The same cannot be said about you.

haha, what is using an example from thousands of years ago suppose to prove? People will remember Tiger Woods hundreds of years from now. Anytime a golf prodigy comes along, guess who they will compare him to? Anytime people argue over who is the best golfer of all-time, guess who's name will come up? Anytime people discuss the most paid athletes, guess who will be at the top of the list? Even if someone eventually comes along and surpasses him, Tiger Woods' name will forever be etched in history.
Calling golf a game of just hitting a ball into a tiny hole is downgrading it to baseball being a game about hitting a ball over a fence or soccer being about kicking a ball into a net. Babe Ruth is an American icon in baseball and he was a major player.
There is a great deal of skill involved (the driving range is killer) and if it were so simple, he wouldn't have made millions, if not billions, doing it.
And like I've said before ... there is rarely a celebrity (especially of his magnitude) that has been completely faithful. I don't see why everyone's so into the news about it.

Gladiators, musicians and performers were just as popular as our modern sports 'heroes'. Plenty of documents exist from those times but there are few mentions of those people. History remembers inventors, writers, composers, leaders and generals. People who make a lasting contribution, not merely a demonstration of a skill.Quote:

haha, you're so silly. Endorsers pay Tiger Woods to use his image. Rich businessmen come to him, not the other way around. He can easily say "no thanks" if he doesn't like the terms of an offer. Therefore, he calls the shots. In reality nobody gives a shit about what job is worth more money. Entertainment is what makes money. Stories like this make money. The people want gossip and rumors and these affairs that Tiger Woods took part in are top story because everybody wants to read about it and it's getting attention, which is what the media craves.
