Hi boys,
I'm a high school student and I have a Mohawk for over a year. My hair is naturally very dark and I usually don't style it up but rather comb it all to one side.
Girls always tell me it suits me well and that they like it on me but I was wondering what's your opinion on these kind of hair dos?

Most guys prefer women with feminine hairstyles. Generally, that means long hair and no bare sections of scalp. But if a woman is attractive enough, she can get away with almost anything.
I think it's hot, personally. But I also think women with crew cuts are hot.
Most guys, I think, will be off put by it at first, but if you have the personality to go with the mohawk, most will be cool with it. I don't think a shy girl with a mohawk is that appealing.
Some girls just look really cute with short hair. I think you should do your hair the way you want.

^^^Yeah she looks great with it, but to be fair she isn't shaved on the sides.
Just like girls like confidence, guys like it too. If you've been rocking the mohawk this whole time, don't stop. It makes you stand out from other girls.
Where does it say in the official book of hairstyles that a mohawk has to be shaved on the sides? The OP didn't mention shaving.
Punks don't do official books of anything. But if it ain't shaved on the sides, it's just a fauxhawk.
"Punk" is just a label for a taste of something a little different. Fauxhawk, mohawk, both hawks to me. Anything with hair sticking up in a row like that is a mohawk, IMO.

Well sometimes the confidence such girls project is really attractive. And sometimes 'strange' haircuts can be really attractive. I really meant it when that girl I posted looks pretty. She is ****in' beautiful and the hair definitely has something to do with it.Quote:

Like misombra said, it identifies with anarchy, rebellion against governments, etc. Those kinda haircuts were pretty popular in late 1970's Britain - with the 'punk' movement
Well not a guy, but since I like girls too I think I have a say. I think, if your face is very pretty, the mohawk can be ok. However, I like more feminine haircuts, the shortest is the bob, but generally the longer the better. I myself have long hair halfway down my back, and it's what I like best in a girl too. However, if I like a girl enough, the mohawk doesn't matter.. and I agree with it shows a lack of caring for what other people think that I love.. so that's a plus. That girl's gorgeous by the way.. even with the septum piercing and the mohawk.
Not, from me personally. Short or boyish style hair doesn't look good IMO - but then again some girls suit shorter hair, so it depends on the face.
I think it matters what the "type" of man is that you are going for. Consider If you are going for a Lacoste collar popping boy or an emo skater type. However the right guy will like you in anything :-)
That would look cute on some girls. Not sure how it would look on you but I think its cute sometimes.
On a OT note, there's nothing more sad than that concept, punk/goth whatever, if your intention is to give the man the finger.
If you want to rebel, get into politics, educate yourself, etc. Otherwise, you're just another lazy wannabe.
As to the 'style' it's self, it's suits many people very well, and can be very hot. I'm all for being different for the sake of being different.
