A remake? Really? Remakes are almost always terrible. LOL! :D
^Lol hence the worse ever :)
Girl On A Train.
Horrible horrible movie and acting.
I said it before and I'll say it again....
I don't about THE worst ever as once they get so bad it is hard to distinguish....
But Son of the Mask ranks up there for me as one of the worst ever in the history of cinema.
lovebroken... 100% agree...it was like watching some half-assed Lifetime movie. At most a 3/10.
Why Him? was shitty IMO.
I thought The Witch was an awful movie.
i haven't seen any of those mentioned but the witch movie and i can agree that it was way too hyped and didn't fulfill my expectations.
^ I didn't enjoy The Witch either. Nothing really to it, & scares weren't scary, goat was the best actor in it LOL
I haven't seen that one. Now I may have to check it out just to see how bad it is. LOL!
As for "Why Him" I haven't seen that either, but had kind of wanted to. I'm a James Franco fan. Him and Bryan Cranston. So, that one had me interested. I expected it to be stupid, but a good kind of stupid. I haven't seen it yet, but I may still check it out to see if I agree with Jff.
Mother's day with Julia Roberts was just terrible.
To those discussing the witch the actress was much better in M Night Shyamalan's Split, then The Witch.
There was a movie Kelly Clarkson made with the runner up of American Idol when she won that season and the two of them got a movie Hahahahaha! Forget it's name Had their names in it Kelly and whatever his was .. Hahaha It was so god awful rotten. Singers for the most part are not good actors, Crossroads is another.
I finally watched the Oscar nominated Moonlight movie. I did not like it. It reminded of of that other movie was it a Boyhood? I didn't like that movie either.
i haven't seen either, lovebroken but i have seen trailers for moonlight and it doesn't interest me.
I wouldn't bother watching it, Exeter. Better movies to spend time on.
Gf watched 50 shades darker with her friends she couldn't pay me enough to see it and she thought it was horrible, and she was surprised? rofl
I haven't seen 50 Shades of Gray or read the book. I have absolutely zero interest either. From what I have heard people say about it, it is basically akin to abusive porn. I still do not understand how it became so popular. I mean, again, I can't really judge from experience having never bothered with it at all, but from what I've heard of it from others it sounds like something we should be ashamed is part of our human existence.... not something we should accept on such a main stream level. But, maybe if others have seen the movies or read the book you can clarify if maybe what I've heard of it is a bit overblown.
same here, i have no interest in either of those 50 shades movies. i think because they were books first is why it has such a following, fantasy of the reader putting themselves into the story is what made the movies take off.
I saw the first one :] hehehe wasn't sexy at all, the guy was nice looking but all it was about was peoples dysfunctional relationships & past issues they carry into adulthood.
The chemistry between the two actors is about as sexual and romantic as two dead fishes. There imo is none.
topazlight lmao on two dead fishes. i think movies like 50 shades is all about pulling gimmicks about sexuality to lure lonely women and men into its spiderweb. even the books, same as.
Exeter19 ~ Agree too. It is like it wants to trick us into thinking it is somehow romantic.
Alice through the looking glass latest with Depp wasn't good ~ Depp's personal life I think is ruining his acting abilities. Can't think of many movies he has done last few years that were any good.
That's why I am so perplexed as to why 50 Shades of Gray became so popular and so mainstream. Again.... it isn't like I've read the book or seen the movie, so I can't say for sure....
But from what I have heard it basically glorifies physical abuse like that is supposed to somehow be sexy/okay. If that is true, I don't get how in the blue Hell something like that isn't shunned/a very niche thing that only people who are into that sort of thing care about. Somehow it became mainstream and popular.
I can't recall the whole story off the first, I did see it haha it wasn't good...but the lead male was a submissive when young to an older woman and then when older wants a younger female who will be a submissive to him. Thing is you don't care about him or her so that is a big reason why those movies are a fail to most.
Wasn't the worse but it wasn't that well done or even that well received I think at Cannes it was booed? Something not great happened there with this movie but made me want to see it and I didn't enjoy it and it had really good actors in it too. The Sea of Trees.
I tried to watch a few of Joan Crawford old movies because of that TV show they made recently and I really didn't enjoy them at all. Not a big fan of face acting, if that is what you call it. Don't really like her as an actress either.
Snatched was pretty bad. I fell into but that last one was good so this should be too. Like Borat was funny and then Bruno ( horrible) not that funny.
agree, bruno was an awful movie. he tried to hard with that one.
Yeah, I didn't enjoy Bruno all that much either. I would agree with Exeter's assessment. He tried too hard. Yes, in Borat he was intentionally trying to annoy people, but it came across more naturally and resulted in some legitimately funny moments. I would agree in Bruno it was like he was trying too hard to deliberately be offensive/in your face/etc. and it just wasn't as good.
Bruno and Borat the goal is to anger a specific group or part of the population, right? That is that actors main goal with his comedy?
yes, s b cohen likes to push buttons and hit an agenda with his movies, borat was a funny movie that still holds up, so he has some real direct hits, but in turn some horrible misses.
just posting in here in case i don't get back on in awhile and it locks.
only crappy movie i saw as of late was - the mummy
Is that the latest Tom Cruise one? Can you be shocked it was awful then :P
OMG ~ Saw it too & what a pile of shit it was. It wasn't funny at ALL.Quote:

Baywatch movie.
That is a shame to hear. I've never watched the Baywatch TV show and have almost no interest in the movie either.... but it has The Rock AND Alexandra Daddario (one of my celebrity crushes) so I had hoped it would be good even if it may no interest me.
I watched for Zac Efron and that wasn't even enough to enjoy it for me. I don't think that needed to even be a movie that was the problem, can't studios think of original ideas anymore?
Apparently not. Everything these days is a sequel, prequel, remake, movie based on a TV show, etc. Even when you think there is finally something original.... it almost always turns out to be based on a book. That I can at least forgive a little, though. At least then it is new as a movie.
Have you seen the new mini series for Stephen Kings The Mist yet? I heard it was terrible and worse then the actual movie which some felt was bad too.
