Love or broken heart forum?

I was thinking to myself... Why everybody who joins the LF is coming here just because their relationship is about to end or had already ended or something like that. I can't remember anyone who came here, being in a totally happy relationship , only wanting to give some good advices... Sometimes it's depressing to read all those sad stories eh... It seems like most of the relationship are meant to end up bad. I mean, I'm in a happy relationship now but after reading all those depressing threads I'm thinking to myself " Cheesus, is my relationship going to end up bad too? ". Why we speak so little about happy relationships and happy ending stories? Winter is depressing enough, lets talk about good sides of being in love :)

Kind of rant.

Think about it though Petit, reading about other peoples failed relationships and why they ended, etc and reading some of the 'good' advice given, can give us a good understanding into where they went wrong and we can learn from their mistakes and ensure not make the same mistakes in our own relationships.

Therefore ensuring we can make our current and any future relationship better :)

I know but since like 3 years I'm reading the same old sad stories. It's like we all are meant to fail in our relationship. Like really, there is not even one couple that is trully fine?
And people, I mean everybody, even you and me, we all are stupid because we look for help when it's too late to get help.Really.

Vash and Indi came here only wanting to give advice, but mostly because they were too stuck-up to ask; not because their marriages are/were stellar.

I only stick around to give advice and have done so for a year. Most seek advice, then disappear....then reappear again when wanting more advice then do one again. But I guess that is what the forums are for.

I only have only ever started 5 threads here I think...and 4 of those were nothing to do with any relationship I have a problem with.

LOL...so how did you get here? Did you originally come seeking advice?

Of course I was looking for advice. I'm not THAT special ;) I was actually like most of the members are .Came for an advice, didn't want to listen, came back in few months, didn't want to listen again... And then I came back when my relationship was over and I stayed . And then I didn't have to ask anymore, cause my relationship was/is good enough and I also learned how to learn from other peoples mistakes .
I've also learned that if you want to stay here for a longer period, you better watch out what questions do you ask,what problems do you post here and what stories to you tell ,because... LF is like police , you better shut up because your words can be used against you, sooner or later :P Especially if you start to fight with others ;) People here have very good memory ;) Muaaaah my Love Forum people :P

haha, oh yeah, words can be sure used against people and quite often people will take what is 'actually' being said, totally out of context and twist words. I tend to find that people who like to start arguments do this....:detective

It's possible to find but you have to know how to do it. If so, don't even try to grammar nazi me,cause I've had it enough before... My grammar at the beginning was BAD. That's why I can't even look at my old posts :D And of well, it's full of BS. Again,that's why I can't look at my old posts. Totally BS. But I was like 17 or 18 at the time, that makes a big difference :) Well, just don't read them. They are actually sad to be honest. At the time I was heading towards very bottom of everything so... Those posts are just a cherry on the top of the sad cake.
But besides, I really know what I'm saying when I tell other members to listen what we have to say. I know how it hurts to not listen to what LF members have to say. True story :)

No... .....

People come here with sad stories because when relationship is good then advice is not needed, why would you seek advice from strangers if everything is going well for you? It's easier to just watch a movie. People come here when they are in trouble, when they are down they start looking for help, they have a problem that needs to be solved, they approach their friends, counselors, strangers and when all else fails they start to look for help online. It's very logical if you think about it.

These sad stories can be depressing, but somehow it feels good to help people in need. This place is good, when it helps people.

I'm not that kind of person who would ridicule someones grammar and English and especially if they were not born in an English speaking country. It amazes me how well some people on these forums can speak English and for whom English isn't their first language - you can speak better English than some English people in England! lols. At school I was only taught French and German. I wouild love to be able to speak other languages and fluently :) And don't aplologise for your past posts....we've all been down and really sad at one time :(

Hah! I came here because I went through so much horrible crap in my past and rarely had anywhere to turn to. I used to give up my own friends for the guy all the time, and after breakups there was nothing. In my dating years (1976 - 1996) there was no internet! No forums! No cell phones! And we used to walk thirty miles to school backwards and barefoot in the snow...

But anyway, I thought it would be nice to visit with a community of people I could relate to, not just dump my problems here and run.

Oh, and a happy story? Hmmm, my husband lost a ton of weight before we met but then gained it all back and then some. I had finally given up on him ever looking like the man I met 14 years ago. Well FINALLY in May of this year he started working out again. He's lost 60 pounds, looks fantastic, and I feel like we're on our honeymoon all over again. Whoohoo!

Yes, that's him. He has an infinite number of users though, so I doubt they are all "dead". I think PP is probably right though, he only saves the posts by dopp... and logs all his chats with anyone too.

well petit I think the thing is that people who come here are looking for advice for some particular reason, usually because something is wrong or ended badly. if they were perfectly happy and OK in their relationship, they would be off with their girlfriend/boyfriend or busy with their lives and they wouldn't need to come here for advice! you know what I mean?
