I don't like girls too thin, it looks like a bunch of bones and you can't grab her anywhere because you fell the bones and it's not a good felling..
I prefer a girl with some flesh, for example, a girl that measures 1,60cm high, it's okay for her to have 63kg-65kg :)

hmmm....what an interesting choice of wording
curvy instead of FAT
skinny pencil instead of SLENDER
How about we word it like this
Do men actually prefer the big fatties vs the slender fit one?
Isn't it wonderful how you can put your own personal spin on a question to control the answers? :P
I always find this type of conversation unpleasant. Seriously, who wants to hear "I hate skinny bony chicks" or "fat chicks make me wanna puke"?
I just think it's a matter of personal taste. It is about the overall chemistry in the air. The last two guys I was interested in looked nothing alike. I am a skinny size 2/4 short girl and the first guy was short and stocky but he had gorgeous eyes and was really gentle and funny. The second guy was tall and lanky but had a real man's waist and he had good abs. And he was charming, funny and much more aggressive than the first guy. I know I am not a man but I would say it is the overall attraction/connection from when you meet a person and not so much an overall type. The overall type for me has more to do with hobbies and interests/personality.
If you mean curvy as in nice hips, filled out chest, and maybe just a little extra meat, then I'm down. Just as if you mean pencil thin as anorexic, that isn't my thing. Personally, I don't really care as long as I don't have to work my way through her rolls to find the glory hole, and alternatively don't want to risk breaking her pencil thin bones by getting a little rough in the bedroom.
I do. I like women that look like women, not men with tits.Quote:

LOL. You are definitely a guy and I am sure she is glad for the reply. I too have heard guys go for curves. However, this past winter was the first time I put on a little weight and I can tell you that I did not feel good about my extra 12 lbs. Before that I had always been skinny and to go from typically a size 2 to a size 6 was a big deal to me because I did get a little more attention from men my own age versus younger guys. But on the flip side once I lost the weight (the healthy way) by cutting out fast food and bagels and cream cheese then the lbs came right off and I went back to feeling healthier and therefore being better for myself.Quote:

These questions are hilarious. Instead of saying "guys what body shape is your favorite" and leaving it an open question-you ask for overweight vs anorexic and I bet most guys on here would rather neither choice..
btw please be more specific in future when you say "curvy" to me that is just a nice word for fat... and pencil thin means underweight to me.
Btw beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Some men like extremely skinny women, some men like a healthy figure (healthy bmi), some like curvy, some like overweight, some like obese. We are all different shapes and sizes and as long as your healthy and happy with yourself-there are men who will be attracted to you. I don't agree with obesity though due to the health risks but it is still possible to find a man... Some men have a "fat phobia" so will always go for the extreme underweight girl. My bf best friend has this phobia and the girls he goes out with must be a size 0..
I blame the women on sites like POF for this. Those types of websites have changed the following body descriptions into their new corresponding definitions.Quote:

I have an athletic build = I have 10-15 lbs of excess bodyfat
I'm average = I have 20-30 lbs of excess bodyfat
I have a few extra lbs here and there = I have 35-50 lbs of excess bodyfat
I'm curvy = whale whale whale, what do we have here?
I consider myself average and I'm not overweight. But I can see how something like that could happen in the USA...Quote:

It's more about falsely advertising oneself in an environment where it's just too easy to get away with it than it is about culture, I also meant for the post to be taken somewhat tongue-in-cheek. People who have used the site to get laid before would get it.
I agree with everyone who has said it all depends on the man. Everyone has different tastes. Some men will only date a certain body type, while others are open to a few different looks. Sometimes you say your "type" is one thing, and end up attracted to something completely different.
I've even been with men who say they are not attracted to women with some extra pounds on them, but their dating history is filled with them. LOL.
I don't think people know what they want anymore.
Lol this has actually made me quite angry, what are they thinking?! There's a huge difference (literally) between curvy and obese in my opinion, just as there's a big difference between slender and anorexic. All this pressure on women to conform to a certain standard is not good, especially not when magazine images of women who already fit that standard are still airbrushed to within an inch of an eating disorder. Bah.Quote:

To me it doesn't matter, as long as me and her have something in common and if we're like different sides of the coin(as in we complement each other, one is talkative the other likes to listen more etc), I will find her attractive.
I know I wouldn't date someone who is more overweight than I am, or obese, no offence. But body types don't matter to me. Maybe I wouldn't date a girl who is much taller than me..
But for the sake of the thread, I guess I prefer girls who are a bit curvy.
Lol Archie I think everything you wrote there is perfectly fine, everybody has a personal preference where looks are concerned and that's no bad thing, it's just the media pressure on women that they have to conform to unrealistic standards - standards that actually promote unhealthy diet/lifestyle as something to aspire to in most cases - that pisses me off.Quote:

I think healthy is the term that people should impress. I know this girl that works at the vet I go to.. she's pretty.. but she is really a stick (figuratively). So much so that I wonder how she walks around without hurting herself... I fear for her. She's pretty, in the face area... but if she doesn't hold on to someone when she walks outside she will seriously blow away.Quote:

I think you can be larger or smaller, but as long as you are healthy it doesn't really matter.
My personal preference is a woman that looks like a woman... most especially NOT a man that looks like a woman... and while I've seen a few animals people have dressed as women that could be passable, I would definitely not abide by that either.
Hahaha I've said it before and I'll say it again... DOOFUS lol ;)Quote:

I just want to know why some women ask a question where posters have to reject one body type in order to make another body type feel better about themselves. Why can't these women deal with their own insecurities without having to do comparisons which make others feel bad? It's basic bullying really - encouraging everyone to put someone else down so that the instigator feels temporarily happier.
I swear this whole body image thing was done to women by women and continues to be perpetuated by women.
But not restricted to just the USAQuote:

Indeed, unfortunately I agree, while the Karl Lager-asses of the world don't help I think women are the root cause of their own misfortune. Sad times.Quote:

Hmm...haven't really noticed this so much these days. The anorexic look has been out of style for some time now, at least here in the US. Most guys I know don't like that look at all. Look at the women who's bodies get glorified in the media or the big name women in porn and they have bigger asses than the type you describe and a healthy bodyfat %.Quote:

Women who aren't afraid to hit the gym and reap the rewards of weight lifting are become more and more desired and the whole idea that they're going to accidently get "too muscular" is now recognized as obsolete.

This is Michele Waterson, and she has the type of body that's becoming the most popular these days. She's far from anorexic, in fact she's very strong and could probably demolish your average male if she ever fought one. Now, she takes exceptional care of herself and works out like an animal, don't get me wrong, I'm just making the point that the whole "anorexic looking = sexy" line of thinking is now obsolete. Women who were too skinny for their own good were considered sexy back when we didn't have the resources or the nutrition and training knowledge to where a woman could sculpt herself to look like the above pic. Now we have them and thus, have evolved beyond our obsession with the frail skin and bones physiques.
:) :) as long as I get the laughQuote:

I love that you can actually see a bit of belly :). Too bad for the extreme airbrushing though. I wonder, will they ever stop doing that?Quote:

I agree with this post. Fit is best, whether curvy or thin.Quote:

i really like thin girls.. but i once dated a curvy one.. i have my own preferences when it comes to girls but it doesn't mean that i'll always stick to it, when i like a girl it's not always about their figure, there's a lot more important categories to look for...
Curves are unbelievably sexy.
Here's the bottomline for all HETERO guys: we like women. Usually a vagina with legs and that has a mouth to give a BJ with will be enough. And you'd think that would be purely for casual encounters i.e. FWB but no; that's pretty much 90% of even real relationships with guys. You get the occasional guys with very specific tastes, e.g curvey women or the skinny pencil one.
Reminds me of something my hubby said in response to which size boobs are preferable. He said "if I get to see them, they're good"Quote:

My boyfriend likes curvy women when they have clothes on, but prefers thin women "in the flesh". For example, though he loves checking out thicker women in the day-to-day, seeing them naked does nothing for him and often turns him off. His preference for nude women is of the very lithe body type, with large natural curves up top. If you're familiar with Game of Thrones, he finds Queen Maergery to be a bit of a porker when she disrobes in the later episodes. But, he really likes the way the larger blonde lady (the knight chick, or whatever) looks when she puts on a dress. Says she fills it out very nicely.......
I guess it depends.
I think most men will take what they can get in the looks department and put priority on personality and compatibility....but that could just be wishful thinking!
I agree with that! Can I buy him a beer?
Once you've seen a pair of tits... you want to see them all.Quote:

Ha! He'd probably take you up on that if this was not the interwebs, lol..
i personally like women that are thick or slim.. not fat or skinny
People change and evolve all the time. I used to like chunky boys but my last two bf's have been quite skinny and now thats all i like. Things change and people change with them. Who knows one day I may even like gingers!! lol! only kidding!
I'll pass on seeing man boobs. No thanks.Quote:

Oh lordy... the other day I saw a teenage boy that had bigger tits than my wife. Ew.
Skinny chicks have the hottest bodies by far, tight ass and usually firm breasts to go with them.
I think and would hope most men would like both because even the skinnier gals get nice and curvy when pregnant :)
