is it a date or just a friendly meeting

I met this guy from fb. He was from my high school. So we have met each other but not really 'friends'. So I accepted his friend request.
Last year we kinda studied abroad in the same country but different cities. He was asking to see in person since then. But I was making excuses.
About two weeks ago he had an issue in which he has to come to my work. He asked me to see during my lunch time which I said yes.
We met and had small chats about likes and dislikes, our hobbies, etc but nth about romance. He also insisted to see again after that but I was busy.
I don't usually goes on dates but is this a date or just a friendly meeting?
