When the convo dies down

Met this girl online, and we hit it off real well. However, since we're both from out of state, it was gonna be a while before we'd ever meet up. Anyway, we exchanged texts for a few days, she asked a TON of questions during that period (which she even apologized for at one point). It was going well, until the conversation died down all of a sudden after she mentioned she was heading home from vacation in (blank) city. What initially was 2-3 texts every hour became one or two word responses once a day lol. The obvious answer would be that she lost interest, but she still makes an obvious effort to respond, which I'm assuming means the opposite? Should I stick with it or is it time to move on?

Why not move to an actual phone call, and leave texts aside for a while, can be closer on phone or texting. Especially if you can not do a face to face. Maybe Skype?

Agreed with lovebroken. Could her declining responses mean she's losing interest? Sure, it could. It may. But, it could also simply be her settling sorta into what is more normal for her. Some people just don't text a lot. Maybe she's one of those.

So, how are you going to know unless you try? Try escalating things. A phone call is a good example. Maybe try to set up an actual date for whenever one of you actually could travel to the other. Even if she IS losing interest, there is still the chance it is just because it doesn't seem to be escalating anywhere. If all you two ever do is text, maybe it reaches a point for her where that isn't enough. I mean, of course, you could try only to find out it actually IS that she's just not that interested in you. Sure, that would suck.... but at least then you'd know and could move on. By the same token, though, what if it turns out she IS interested... and you've been wasting all this time doubting?
