Not really a love poem...

My fate is now sealed,
I am now here all alone,
Forever here, I walk,
The vast emptiness of self,
No Company, no need,
My body is free, yet my mind is forever a prisoner,
The sweet bliss of death,
Rest forever, darkness.

For I am alone, my mind,
My only friend, a friend that knows no bounds,
A friend that loves to be lost,
A friend that is no friend,
For here in this life of mine,
With family that loves me,
And friends that would die for me,
I am still lost.

What hope is there for one like me?
For another prisoner of self,
Another lost,
Another gone,
What?

I wish for a friend,
A friend of my friend,
A friend to be a friend,
A friend to walk this emptiness with,
A friend to fill the void.

Like a black hole my mind destroys all,
Consumes all,
Into a singularity,
A perfect absence,
A hole for which I fall through,
A neverending fall.
