"I do like you for now but I can't promise you anything."

I met a girl online and we've chatted for about 5 months now. We recently met and and had what I thought was a great time together. We spent a week together traveling, talking, and getting to know each other better. She even introduced me to her family. Honestly there was never a dull moment. When I asked what she thought of me and our future this is what she said: "I do like you for now but I can't promise you anything."

I get the message but I'm curious to what others think. Should I inviter her to my city or take it for whats its worth and move on?

Depends what you are looking for. If you are looking for something more meaningful, then I'd say move on. If you are just up for hanging out with someone on occasion, then just go with whatever.

what! they haven't gotten know each other well enough. she gave an honest answer. i would do the same. there's really no guarantee if you'll keep on liking the person once you get to know them better.

I dunno- I interpret that as I like you but I'm waiting for something better in the meantime though- you'll do. Of course, I could be wrong but...

I know her response stung like hell, but at least she was up-front with her hesitation. If things don't work out, then as hard as it would probably be, you ought to thank her for letting you know right away.
