Which compliment?
I think it's quite an easy to answer question but still...
When complimented by a guy on your apperance, would you prefer them to call you, pretty, or hot, or georgeous, or just "you look nice" or something else?
Because i'm never quite sure.
Also would u want the comment to come at the beginning of when you see them or at the end, or after somehow?
Any insight would be welcome, thanks

You don't want to sound completely rehearsed so why not just play off visual clues? For example if she wears her hair up alot and then wears it down one day, you could say, "Wow you should wear your hair down more often. It's smokin' like that." Or something like that. A general statement like "you look pretty" is nice to hear of course, but a personalized compliment is more memorable to me.
And as far as timing goes, it's really up to you. You never know when there is going to be a good time. Do it when you feel it.

The compliments that really stand out to me are the ones I received off-handedly or non-verbally at all.
The corny situation, but still flattering:
me: "Ugh, I'm hot now..." (referring to temperature)
him: "but you always are"
or just face and random looks thrown my way when i do something different with myself.
