the best way i remember anything when it comes to relatioships (married or otherwise) is to "never forget to keep dating" your signicant other.
when you started dating it was tingly, fun, you were both coming up with things to do that was fun for both of you. why do we stop this just b/c we "get serious?" no.. don't stop it.
so "keep dating" and i'd say make a date with your husband. and b/c its your date you do it the way that was good for you two, not what society says (say the "lovey dovey fluffy" stuff)..
"keep dating".. that's the key.

I'm not the romantic type either, but I'm inviting my BF over for dinner and I'm making him a nicer dinner than I would normally make, just because it's a fun thing to do. Putting pressure on yourself to do something spectacular for such a ridiculous holiday, like Valentine's Day, seems unnecessary to me. Just spend time together and enjoy the day, don't put so much energy into thinking it has to involve grand gestures, when you should be showing your partner you love them every day.

yeah I totally agree. but the pressure is there to make it special... I'm scared to get to touch his car and he takes pride so better if I stock with the dinner ;)
