My girlfriend left me because we fought about her not letting me see my child enough. I threatened to take the baby a couple times but never followed through. I promised I would never take our baby from her. She never in 8 months let me see our baby for more than one hour a day.
After she broke up with me I decided I needed to file a petition for custody. Since she got served abut 4 weeks ago, I've only seen my baby once. I love them both very much and want my family back desperately. Her mother is also in the way.
I've been leaving them alone, giving her a chance to missee me. She has told me a couple times that she does, but doesn't believe we can work things out.
We lived together until just before baby was 2 months old. A fire in our home forced us to move out and live separately, causing a great strain to maintain our relationship and raise our child. Help!!

Sorry to hear of your troubles but: There isn't anything we can do to help you. You've done the right thing by filing for your rights to see your child. I do hope you've been keeping up with your child support payments because that too will be looked at during your custody hearing(s).

Where are your parents in all of this (do they not want to see their grandchild too? Also: Why did you break up. I'm sure there is much more to it then the strain of having had a fire which meant you couldn't live under the same roof temporarily.
