Don't know if my girlfriend is cheating on me?

Ok so we have been together for 10 months now and everything was good she was saying she couldn't live out me and all that but now I don't know what it is.
Her little girl said her ex's name out of the blue and then she told me he messaged her the other day and now she's going everywhere with her phone ie in the shower to the toilet anywhere she goes she takes it. But she never used to do that it feels like she has changed..... I've been trying to find this out for myself if she's cheating instead of asking her if she's cheating because last time I asked she got a little bit offended. I mean I know she wouldn't cheat she has kids and she wouldn't put anyone through that but deep down I just don't know what to think. Like I don't know what she does throughout the day when I'm at work and there is a big age difference im 21 and shes 6 years older so I'm just clueless. This is my very first relationship where I care about her and love her so I don't want to mess it up

Find out before your paranoia destroys you. People don't take their phones to the shower, if she has a lock on that is good enough to safe guard snooping.

No. You don't know that she wouldn't cheat, and you definitely think she might be, because you are asking for advice on this forum. Your only option is to ask her what's going on. You don't have to come out and say, "hey! You keep bringing your phone everywhere you go, are you cheating on me???" In fact, that would make anyone recoil in defense. Try bringing it up at a time when both of you are relaxed and calm, and bring it up in a way that is non-confrontational, and non-judgmental. Try using "I feel" statements. Maybe something along these lines:

"Hey... I feel something is off between us, is everything okay with you? I want to make sure we are on the same page, and that both of us are happy with where we're at. If there's anything you need from me, please let me know." and see how she responds. Depending on her reaction and what she says, will help you gauge the situation a bit better. If you go on the attack right away and ask if she's cheating, you will most likely derail the conversation before it starts, and you won't get very far.

Part of what you need to learn is that jealousy is a natural emotion. We all feel it, we all have to deal with it, and we all hate to feel it. Jealousy is not irrational, it's how you react and what actions you take because of jealousy that can be irrational. If you feel your partner has been pulling away from you lately, maybe you need to look at ways to bring that spark back. All relationships ebb and flow between complacency and tough times, and it's up to you to start the conversation if you ever want to get anywhere.
