Confused, sad.... what the hell happened?

Well, my boyfriend just dumped me via skype (we were texting), and suddenly he said he wanted to breakup and logs off. I of course didn't take it seriously at first because we had been together for 6 years and it came totally out of the blue, but after he logged in again he said he was serious and that I should find someone else who shares my interests (which sounds just like an excuse because we still share the same interests). Anyway, I'm totally heartbroken and needed to share this with someone even if only on a webpage since I don't really have a lot of friends and have no one to talk to about this, HE was the person I talked to about stuff....

And now he's playing videogames on steam like nothing happened (one of our interests in common)...

I'm sorry to hear, how horrible for you. Had there been any signs that something was going wrong?
Is there any way you could talk it through in person?
