Well... I can understand that A LITTLE more.... but I kind of personally feel if you can't join a site without first being 18.... then just wait until you are 18. Otherwise, that is still lying to potential dates even if you aren't intending to lie to them. They'll see your profile and assume you are 18. Even if you are honest right off the bat once you reach out to somebody or they reach out to you, you are still wasting people's time/misrepresenting yourself.

To be perfectly honest, if you are not yet even 18, I wouldn't suggest bothering with online dating YET. When you are that young, there are so many other options and much easier ways to meet people. Hell, even if, like me at that age, that isn't really true for you because you are too shy to take advantage of those options, that is still the attitude people that young IN GENERAL tend to have. In other words, there's going to be very few people your age on those sites..... and even fewer who are actually taking it seriously.

Not worth the further frustration. Believe me. I know that from experience because I tried those sites when I was younger. I was so shy that it seemed like a much better option.... but it only served to make me feel even more alone and hopeless. Frankly, it did the same when I tried it recently.... but it is even worse that young because nobody that young tends to take those sites seriously. They think they have too many other options to bother with meeting somebody online.

LOL I remeber when I was 16-18. On a site thats like FB a girl was offering to meet in another town and I wasnt interested but I said - "Okay I'll be there." LOL of course I didnt intent to actually go.
