I feel ya, topaz. That is what I feel like almost every day I come here. LOL! I swear, this site gets less and less populated as time goes on. Every day I feel like I come back and there is virtually nothing new for me to jump into/no responses to threads I've already participated in for me to follow up. This site is one of my favorite pass times when I need a quick mental break, or take a lunch break, or something, but it keeps seeming to get slower and slower.

The people who haven't shoveled their sidewalks/driveways since the snow fall this Winter. It's an ice rink out there and completely unsafe for people to walk.

I don't know about in your neck of the woods, melancholia, but around me it is actually ILLEGAL not to take care of your sidewalk. You can risk legal ramifications if you don't and somebody gets hurt.

I'm pretty sure it's against municipal bylaws not to clear your walks, but nobody seems to get the memo around here. I live in Vancouver and we rarely get snow in the winter (too close to the ocean), but this Winter we got DUMPED on. We also have a very different type of snow from the provinces/states further East of us, because our snow is very wet and heavy while theirs is dry and almost resembles the texture of sand. It's so frustrating! I was walking to catch the bus to work this morning and I had to walk on the road because not enough people shoveled their walks appropriately. It's a serious hazard, and I'm fortunate to be able-bodied, but even I was slipping and sliding, and I could only imagine someone else falling and seriously hurting themselves.

Piers Morgan's infantesque tantrum about Ewan McGregor canceling his appearance on Morgan's show because of Morgan's distasteful comments about the Women's March. Since when has Piers Morgan ever been anything other than a TV show host and pathetic twat? We get it, Piers, you hate women! We don't need you to remind us every damn day.

My cousin calling me repeatedly for money. If I don't have that amount I can't give you it, stop harassing me for it, ask someone else.

The same reaction to doing the right thing over and over. Nothing. I don't think most people nowadays understand what it is to think of others, only of themselves. OBVIOUSLY. Not sure why I expect better of anyone, stranger or known. The only constant in life is inconsideration( rudeness).

Yeah. I feel the same way. I've always been a very self-less person, almost to a ridiculous level. These days, I try to fight that urge as much as I can because I agree it seems like nobody appreciates it. It does sometimes seem like everybody else in the world is so selfish and inconsiderate, so why do I even bother to try? I still won't judge individual people prematurely, but I DO have a filter these days where I won't trust them either. Not until they prove they are worth it. Sucks, the world we live in these days.
