My 17 year old is having a hard time because he says he still wants to feel young and have fun, but his dad and I will constantly remind him that he needs to look for a job and apply for his drivers license. I try to explain to him he can still have fun, but he needs to think about grown up things too.

I have always thought that the problem with this world is that we forget what it is to be a child and have fun and not take so much so seriously. Why not stay in our jammies all day? Why not wear colorful booboo bandaids? Forget and forgive as easily as you were as a kid? Climb a tree? Roll down a hill? I use to do that when my boys were younger. And I got many weird looks from the other moms. Dressing up for Halloween? Being fascinated by caterpillars? Maybe this thread was suppose to be just light and simple, but I guess I am just trying to show that we can still be like kids and the world would be a better place for it.

So, to answer the question, I use to use my little sister to go get things from the house so we could start little campfires.

Those are nice things you used to do. Think its just shows the state of the soul and how alive and sensitive one is.

I used to defend my sister against bullies when I was like 5 or 6. Remember once problems started to arise I told my sis to go home and stayed alone to fight with two others guys.

Then I used to train with my friends, like wake up at 8 o clock in the moorning and run in stadium sometimes.

Remember when I was in kindergarden we used to tell girls to show their ass and they took their panties off. I think I was the only guy in kindergarden who actually touched girls pu**y. My friend who was with me in kindergarden that day talked about next 15 years.

Spend hours talking with my father, over dinner, outside at swings, in the car, at bedtime and over the phone. He has passed away so I no longer get to that anymore.

I sort of lost track of this thread and it blew up so much I couldn't catch up. LOL! But, I had to say that this right here is awesome! I could not possibly agree more. As some of you may know by now (especially if you've seen my pictures of me dressed up as Deadpool) I am, in many ways, like a big kid. ....Here's the thing though. I have my own car, my own apartment, I have a corporate job I do well. I am fully and completely an adult....

I just personally don't think that has to mean you can't still also be goofy, silly, and childish.... in the right settings and at the right time. I still love to collect stupid, silly little things like Funko's Pop Vinyls. I still LOVE Halloween and like to dress up in costume. Being an adult doesn't have to mean you become stuffy and boring. To me personally, the ultimate sign of maturity is the ability to be mature AND be immature... but just know the right times and places for each. Why should you ever let your inner-child get locked away for good?

I no longer watch animated shows and or cartoons, and I would always sit and watch these when littler.

I would use my little sister to do things or get things for me so I wouldn't get in trouble. Of course now I must take responsibility for my own actions.
