When do you give up on someone you love if they lie?

BF of a few years continues to lie to me about his finances. While he has become more transparent (b/c he knows I can find out without him), he still lies about certain financial matters. In the last episode, I caught him using his mom's credit card - it has his name on the card but the account is under her name and she pays the bills; he promised not to do it again but thought it was ok since she owed him money from years ago (really?) - she doesn't have that much money saved and lives in assisted living. Now I learned although he told me he used his own debit card at the food store, I know he didn't so I'm assuming his used her card again, and she got a check back from the utility company for the deposit on her condo he just sold and he deposited into HIS account. I have asked him about each of these actions without telling him I know otherwise and given him a chance to correct himself but he hasn't. Do I just leave him? We really love each other but isn't his lying disrespectful and how do I plan a future with him to live together?

And yes you should definitely stay with a guy who lies to you and steals money from you

Does he maybe have a gambling problem? Is their some other even bigger issue he has and is hiding from you?

If you cannot trust him and this is a big thing for you to continue to deal with then yes, leave. He probably will not change but maybe seeing you decide to go will force a change, you never know.
