Like it was mentioned before, tender breasts are usually a warning sign that her period is due to arrive in a few days.
All sorts of things can affect a menstrual cycle....stress....hormonal changes.....increased physical activity. Four or five days is nothing. Many girls I know, myself included, have been late by 2, 3, 4 weeks a couple of times.
