Asking her out

I'm 19 and sort of a shy guy (<--Chinese) . So I like this girl in my english college class (she is chinsese btw) and she is very decent looking, after a couple of weeks, i finally managed to get her number. I called her a couple of times regarding homework, but everytime i tried to ask her out i just blanked out. Instead i'll just say "alright thanks, c ya" at the end our of conversation, and it doesnt last no more than a minute or two. We hardly ever talk in class, but as we walk out of class, i try to talk to her until we head to our separate exits. I am really interested in this girl and really want to ask her out but it seem so hard! Help anyone? suggestions?

Stop being shy. Rejection is better than continual wondering.

If you take too long you will end up in the friends zone, which has more pull than a black hole.

I would be willing to bet she thinks you like her already. She obviously isnt turned off by you if you have her number, and she talks to you. Start a conversation, before you ask her out. How do you know if it would be a good relationship if you cant even talk for more than a couple of minutes?

Did you try to have a NORMAL conversation? Phone her WITHOUT intent. She will see straight through you otherwise, and will think your a creepy stalker.

Be her friend first, talk in class, out of class, on the phone. THEN ask her out on a date.

yeah i guess the shy part is kicking in alot, its probably why i can't have a nice conversation. I'll be updating, thanks for the 411.

edit: btw, i'm not even sure if she is seeing anyone or not.

Go like: "Hey, what would you do if I asked you out" or something.

Or find some exuses for going out, like find some interesting topic and tell her that it needs some longer discuss.

I once waited like 2 cold hours outside in wet snow to just find out if the girl is interested in me and I was going to ask her out but... I just didn't. Now I think we wasn't ready.
