Evanesence is one of the reasons why most mainstream rock is so horrible nowadays. The band is put in the rock genre, but she admits she doesnt like rock? ehh, little talent

there's a funny site where some guy goes to ("mainsteam commercial rock bands") concerts and points out exactly why they have bad taste in music. I found it rather amusing.

What does that have to do with lyrics and her voice though?
It's not our fault society places them in a genre, but that' the way humanity works.

She doesn't like hardcore rock/metal, she likes Alt. Rock though. It's no different with a lot of rock bands of yore. They were the best of the best with the instruments, but more then half had scratchy voices, or mellow-dramatic tone. Then again, you could argue the genre was slower, and little more focused back then. But just because one doesn't like a band, doesn't mean the lyrics are bad..and I'd certaintly like to hear why..I have yet to hear a person give me a legit reason why Immortal has bad lyrics. I'm not saying Evanescene is the greatest band ever, far from it...but I'm playing the other side of the coin.
