Bringing me to my next point, a drug is, according to my handy pocket dictionary:
"(3) : a substance intended to affect the structure or function of the body"

So coffee is a drug, a chocolate bar is a drug, carrots are drugs, hell if I eat this stapler I'm pretty sure it will affect the structure or function of my body.

where do you live moeburn? canada i think.

yes they just made it illegal on a fed. level a couple months ago. in the u.s. the f.d.a. decides what can or cannot be called a "drug". so the word "drug" is arbitrary.

I'm sure this Canadian guy who has no medical degree probably knows more than the professionals who spent 72 years in college studying this kind of stuff.

Stop defending reefer dude... no one cares if coffee is labeled a drug too!! You asked a simple question and got your responses. It's a turn off to most people, leave it at that.

If I said a girl that is 7 thousand pounds overweight is also a turnoff would you go off on a tanget and quote that some doctor on one has heard of has declared it's actually healthy to be overweight, blah blah blah

Yeah I know, maybe I take things the wrong way, but just sounds like he's trying to force his opinion on us by tryin to make it sound like smoking weed is no different than drinking coffee.

    Sorry boss. ;[

in some respects there is no difference. different effects, but they both have effects nonetheless.

Notice a word in your definition. INTENDED

Coffee isn't a drug the caffine in it is. Food itself is not a drug as it does not changed the function of your body and a stapler is not intended to be ingested lol so that is not a drug.

Moeburn, Medical Marijuana is legal in california. Yes, there is a Supreme Court ruling that "invalidates" all state laws which allow medical mj. But the whole federal-Bush right-wing-scum****ery doesn't go over in cali. We have over 100 dispensaries throughout the state. And medical Mj is sold here from businesses everyday. I buy mine if from a club in Santa Rosa. To all of you who still think that its illegal in cali....put this in your pipe and smoke it.

    Traffic Stop.

Officer: "Sir, please find a creative way to dispose of this."
    'Nuff said!

The reason why medical mj isn't legal is because of poilitial reasons...not scientific research. The Supreme Court urged congress to reclassify marijuana. So that it wouldn't be a a schedule one drug. The Departement of of Health and Human Services (HHS) has refuse to do this for congress.

This is because THEY are in violation of the Data Quality Act. A federal law that requires such agencies to make decisions based on science, not politics. The ASA has concluded that HHS violates the data quality act's utility and objective standards because those statments do not reveal the data on which they are based, ignore opposing peer reviewed scientific results, AND HAVE BEEN CONTRADICATED BY NEW DATA!

Yeah, sounds like some really legit Doctors who have been studying medicine for 72 years. HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM??????

    Nobody was disputing that.

Which is why it was rediculous for you to cry foul when we referred to marijiuana as a drug.

FOOD IS NOT A DRUG. The Food and Drug Administration puts them in to seperate categories. So no, carrots are not drugs. Caffeine is a drug. Coffee (which contains caffeine) is a beverage not a drug.

Marijuana is an herb. THC is a drug.
