    Some food for thought

This may be somewhat irrelavent but I think alot of the younger guys in paticular maybe interested in knowing this.

All to often we see these posts wondering how to introduce yourself to a certain girl to get to know her better, and alot of the time the contact the poster has had with this girl is very limited due to the poster lacking the confidance to talk to the girl, or they consider themselves unworthy.

Well I am going to tell you the reason for this, it is simply because of the tesosterone that goes pumping through your young bodies every time you think about going up and talking to this girl. Tesosterone acts as a depressant and lowers your self confidance, while at the same time making the guy really attracted to the girl. So you get this situation happening:
    "Wow she's fine....I'm not worthy!"

Yes this is all because of puberty. So next time you find yourself in this sitation, the best thing you can do is try to control your hormones and try to build yourself up. Hope this helps!

Is this true? I never heard that before. So following this logic, women should be "happier" then men in general?

Well you could look at it that way, but it's only when testosterone starts rushing through the body, like at puberty, that it acts as much a depressant. At no other stage does it have as much of a depressing effect, not sure why though.

Thats interesting. How can you try and control yourself in that respect though and continue to have the confidance to approach a woman?

I dont think women would neccessarily be happier, as they have their own hormones (and the time of the month) to contend with.

Aye, though estrogen doesn't have the same depressing effect.

I spose the only way to control it is to think positive thought ot something along those lines.

Yeah, and just think 'if I don't go for her, I won't know if she would have been interested anyway'

Actually, my boyfriend has a Masters in Biology and Chemistry. And testosterone is not the chemical responsible for causing depression. It interacts with seretonin, which in turn lowers your mood. It makes you feel less confident, less active, and makes you more sceptical.

After testosterone levels reach a balance, or a flat, then mood will stabalize. In fact, men are much better at handling stress than women are. Think about it. It makes sence if their mood is stable after testosterone production is stable.
