I'm talking about the guy's perspective from an evolutionary standpoint. Our early ancestors (yes, there was a time before today) had sex to reproduce. Males that carried more sperm had a better chance of passing on their genes to the next generation. I think there is a book called Sperm Wars that details this.

you must not understand how the evolution process works. In the wild, animals must adapt to their environment. Individuals with undesirable traits are discriminated against. Those with desirable traits live to pass their genes on to the next generation. Humans are the only species which adapt the evironment to themselves. Therefore, we have no reason to evolve further. We have retained many desirable and undesirable traits from our ancestry.

LOL! That's a great analogy. I'm gonna start using that. Also, I think I can speak for many when I say that this has nothing to do with reproduction.
