Ah. Very good, RSK. Most people pick up impressions others can't help but transmit. Some are able to articulate what they pick up into thoughts. But few express them directly. For good reason (as far as it goes): Doing so makes everyone naked. It wasn't fig leaves with which Adam and Eve covered themselves in the Garden of Eden. It was personas. Keep up the good empathy.

i'll be "very" honest with you, sometimes, people don't really like what i have to say because it's not what they want to hear, however, i only speak the truth, i have no reasons to lie. i dunno who you are and vice versa.

One thing for sure, is that your are good at speaking less, and saying more.

That's a good way of looking at other people. The mystery that surrounds the road they've travelled, the people they've met, and the work they've done, keeps people as interesting, umm, people.

If everything (personalities, feelings, emotions) were so visable to the eye, then we'd loose something - probably the human spirit. But more so, if these visibilities were 'transmited', then I see your point about the consequences of what this brings about.

Pre-disposed feelings and attitudes toward others, based on other peoples' feelings is a dangerious thing, and I should avoid it.

As a doctor, I must always remember, that I must treat the 'Patient', not only the 'Disease'. And to do this, I better recall my sense of the human spirit.

thanks for these lessons, i'm learning as much as i can.

Damn. Never considered that. I've always just assumed that there would be everything to gain if people were so openly transparent to each other. That knowing each other's deepst inner workings almost instinctively -- being spiritually naked to each other -- could only lead to positive outcomes. Never gave a thought to what might be lost. Whether or not the human spirit would be among what is lost, I couldn't say. But the mystery and surprise would surely vanish, wouldn't they? Evidently, you're doing as well teaching as you are learning. Thanks for reminding me to give thought to the opposite side of this particular coin.

All in all, it would seem you're taking an holistic perspective into your future studies. That will only enrich the experience. A life-long homeopath acquaintance of mine here just yesterday pointed me to something over which she was abuzz: http://www.yuenmethod.com. Since she ranges toward New Age sensibilities a little more than my tastes can always tolerate, I haven't studied it closely, but it appears to be a comprehensive synthesis of disciplines you might be interested in reviewing.

Now, if FL Fe Lost would interrupt our dialog and lob over a post about what's on his or her mind, he or she might get back this thread we've hijacked.

    HEY LOST! You still there?!
