Ahhahahaha! I'm "pretty good internet-wise"? What "was" my career? You guys slay me. You all seem to think life ends after 30...or something equally strange. My "career" still is http://hayward.cx.la (or, if you prefer, http://nitewing.cx.la). In my spare time, I http://niteflights.cx.la.

I have no intention of going quietly into the darkness, but howling.

I was only 12 years old who got my own computer/internet and first thing I remembered that I did was that I played games on www.foxkids.com. Dumb, isnt it? lol

You go Hayward! (but not too soon, okay?)

My first internet experience was as an undergraduate w/a program called Mosaic. My housemates included a couple of physicists and 2 electrical engineers. You could argue I had no choice. Sitting in a basement playing the original Castle Wolfenstein & Leisure Suit Larry. God. First computer was called a PET. Huge thing the size of my dishwasher. Flashing green cursor and writing code (BASIC) to make words run across the screen. Think I was around 10, then.

If you have so few grey hairs that plucking makes a difference, then you aren't so old, Indigo!

I think my first experience working with a computer came when I was working for an advertising firm, but no internet until I was somewhere around 28 or so. I can't remember what the first thing I did was, but I am pretty sure that early on me and my husband did the obligatory search for sex to see what was available on the net...
