Inde....... Hi there sweetie! Missed you around here, i was wondering how you've been and just figured you've been busy meeting people and getting things back on track!
Kickboxing is very good! I have also done that as well, and yes martial arts. Studied for several years actually. What I can tell you, is that kickboxing is very good health wise and it does help you focus on other things in your life as well ( if you apply it). Those classes can be good to meat people, but they also have other classes you can find out about through them..including tournaments and differnet get togethers that all kinds of people go to so that could open many doors for you as well.
How far away are other cities from you? I know your caught in a loop because of your ex being everywhere in this town but your able to venture out further that might help as well. Taking an arts and crafts class somewhere ( like painting, ceramics, sewing, etc..) there are lots of women that do this and normally it's a one night a week a deal and you ge to meet lots of people.

LOL you guys always crack me up!
That's a great idea, Tone, because when I was active here before.. that is what helped me to stay so motivated. And I did so good with it then! I think I should read back through that old thread and really work myself back into the mindset.
A little update on the local fellow... there seems to be some interest there
We are talking regular now since that 'lunch date' and have both agreed to see each other again soon for another outing. Through our chats & phonecalls, it has already become a very enjoyable friendship... that's a huge plus right now!
Thank you, Rose - great ideas! I've missed chatting with you... and am glad to be back! I am seriously considering a creative writing class - or something similar - at the local community college. I should think that would be a nice way to get out of the house and meet people with similar interests.
Agreed! I was also going to mention classes like that as well too. I'm sure you'll find something , it's just a matter of looking in the right places..
Good to hear...your "past" problems ARE in the past. And It's good to have you back!
If you can't handle the thorns, don't crave the rose!!
Yes, I agree! Those were some pretty troublesome problems lol
Admittedly, it took me several months to really get through it all... but at least now I am past it and completely done dealing with it!
But to live life to fullest, we all have to experience som bad times!!!! I can tell your still a little troubled but nothing like what you were..
GOOD JOB!

Might care to look into this. Won't get you out of the house, but will give you a taste of one of the many tutoring techniques around out there. This guy was one my first creative writing teachers WAAAY back when. He derived what he does from this, which was originated by one of my other, early creative writing teachers. These are the guys, btw, who published my first fiction writing when I was 16.Originally Posted by independent

Oh cool! Even I saved that website! That will come in handy for me as well. Thanks Hayward!

Agreed - thank you so much for the links!
I do think I would enjoy a class though - and it would be nice to have an outing to look forward to once or twice a week. I would imagine it to be a good way to meet others with similar interests...
Speaking of which, I am meeting the local fellow for coffee tomorrow![]()
Yeah. I feel EXACTLY that way about my AA and NA meetings.Originally Posted by independent
