Well, doting old man that I've become, my ambitions have narrowed significantly. I desire little more than work which provides me an adequate income for doing things which made MEASURABLE contributions where my conscience informs me they're needed.

TAVS, I'm a stock options trader, if youre' serious, we should talk.
I think I'd like to be:
-A talent scout for the porn business. Ladies only.
-GM of the Steelers.

I'm dead serious. Despite the nasty loss I took; I'd do it again if I ever save up enough money to make it work while. If you're going to make 3-5% on a trade; you have to have a reasonable amount of cash to make it worth while....of course you probably already know that. I've never dealt with options before.

Long ago, when "penny stocks" was a commonly-heard phrase, I took the Dean-Witter "Broker in a Box" course. Wasn't my cup of tea. Felt too much like I was pushing used cars onto people who couldn't afford to buy even them. Maybe, if I'd stayed in it long enough to get to where the big sharks swam, my sentiments would have changed. But, as it was, the price of admittance was too high for me. Would've taken away too much of my compassion for others, I believe.

Brokering is just a glorified salesman. A trader is something completely different.

But it also feels good to GET UP and get out and DO SOMETHING other than be at home all the time.

i agree. it does feel good to DO SOMETHING. but that doesn't necessarily have to be work. having no boss that tells you WHEN or HOW to do your job does feel very good, believe me, i've tried out both.Originally Posted by Tone

But apples and oranges here, alice.
here in Montreal theres a whole lot of underground things , gangs and organized crime . One does not need to be Italian here to be in a mob . That sounds more like New Jersey and New york to be in the mafia . Over here a culture matters very little , its more in skills and guts .Originally Posted by alice
