I'm chinese, my ancestors came over and built railroads; do you hear me, or any other Asians for that matter, crying about inequality? No. All other races shut up and try to work harder, sometimes by doing shit jobs that no one else wanted to do. ie- Italians in the early 1900's.

Again, Chinese, Italian, Japanese - none have dealt with anything REMOTELY close to what whites put blacks through. So it's easy for you to say your race doesn't "cry" about it and just "shuts up" - you aint got SHIT to speak up ABOUT, in comparison.

For me, there are a couple of reasons that I think we should honor such ppl:

1. They inspire others to do good.

2. It gets the media reporting something other than their usual fearmongering.

I would be equally happy if the media reported the fact that Joe Blow from Nowhereville decided to start a business that would help the local poor to become more self-sufficient (just an example, OK, don't flame me I haven't thought it through).

But those stories aren't as catchy to the general public for whatever reason.

First of all Tone, something you are ignoring about your video, is that the idiot in that video clip that got his ass beat was RUNNING FROM THE COPS. The other option the cops had when you are fleeing from them is to simply shoot your dumb ass. Perhaps that would have been more justified?

The rule that was broken wasn't the fact that the cops beat his ass, it was the fact the idiot was running in the first place.

If blacks want equality, then the ones who cry ABOUT equality need to shut the **** up. Disband all of their little groups and sects. Dissolve all of their college funds. Get rid of BLACK entertainment Television. Get rid of BLACK history month. The only segregation I see here is FROM THE BLACKS. Oh, and as far as the job market goes, the military is OBLIGATED to allow a specific amount of minorities - SPECIFICALLY blacks into its officer program, simply to keep things "diversified", but not always because of their skill levels. The same goes for your local fire and Police department. Look into it.

I am not racist in the least bit. My last roomate was black and everyone in my office is asian except for 2 of us. I spent almost 9 years in the Marines with every race imaginable.

But the people who piss me off more than ANYTHING are the people who sit around crying about being oppressed over something that happened 50 years ago and has absolutely no effect on them whatsoever anymore.

So that makes it right? That is in their job description? If someone runs from you, pin him on the ground, and proceed to repeatedly punch and kick him while he's on the ground, while having another officer stomp on their ankle to prevent them from being able to run away? Repeat until culpret is bloody and incapable of moving?

I don't think so. You're POLICE OFFICERS OF THE LAW - you got the ****head, you have him on the ground, CUFF HIM AND HAUL HIM TO JAIL - you don't violently abuse him just cause you're mad you had to chase his dumbass.

So no, Cybog, I'm not ignoring it at all - the fact that he ran should NOT justify what those cops did. This isn't about the SUSPECT is in the wrong, cause obviously he was - but it's about the way the POLICE OFFICERS handled it. THE BEST part of the video is when one of the fat white cops looks up and notices they are being recorded on camera, and then he turns around and tries to start cuffin the man. Caught red handed - literally.

Implying that hate and racism do not exist is very wrong. People are still out there. And these people are not educated (IMO).


To you, and even me, we don't worry too much. But when an African American, or Jewish Person, or Homosexual, or any other target of these groups is aware of these people, and their ideals, it's a very scary deal, and very real too.

Of course, the amount of racism over the years has decreased dramatically. But to say what happened 50 years ago, has no effect on people today, is something very ignorant.
