Ok... Admission time

Recently I've been checking my partner's phone for outgoing text messages.. I know this is bad and I KNOW it's snoopage..

But..

There are two types of SMS she sends

1. to her friends (one of whom ex boyfriend- will explain this situ in a second)
2. to her friends about me or family.

Now.. I've never really been insecure and have an ego the size of Egypt, therefore I tend to laugh or ignore the ones that are a bit personal like if she talks to her friends about a "hot guy" etc.. I don't mind that cos I know she gets it good at home.

Rather than that I tend to look for the messages talking about how happy she is and how much better her life is now that she has finished her degree, her nan is better etc.. And think "ahh that's cute".

** Ex Boyfriend situ -
He is fat... a bit ghey.. girly and a lazy beeotch. She was with him about 3 years ago and they were good friends. They had sex once in five years.. looking at him I'm amazed they managed it that many times. I think his name is John Merrick if you know him

He's ok and as long as she only see's him in public I don't mind

Ok.. back to the point..

How bad is looking at her phone? Should I stop? I am a bit addicted to doing it... and it's so controlling..

No- I think it's a violation. I think I take it more seriously than most, though. If someone was going through my phone/ e-mail/ whatever, I'd chuck them.

Phone snooping is bad, you're never going to enjoy reading what you find, I've done it before and it made me really paronoid through-out the whole relationship and that's the reason it ended, so behave and don't do it again.

I'm inclined to agree. I don't think it does me any good.. a lot of the time sms messages are harmless but I will always take them the wrong way.

I'm going to quit it cold turkey, starting... now.

It's our anniversary on Friday so I've told her to go and get a dress designed and made so I can pay for it. Aswell as a meal and Roses.. of course.

The bad thing is she was NOT up for valentines AT ALL! At first I thought it was the usual female rouse to make me surprise her but dear god... she was having none of it.. so this is like our valentines day
