They went to Nebraska.
They went to Nebraska.
40,000 Inca soldiers conquered by 180 Spanish Conquistadors..
It was just a matter of timing. They were going through turmoil, Atahualpa killed his half brother Huascar for the throne (killing your kin one of the worse violations to them), which supposedly made him the last Inca. Any society going through a little bit of trouble needs very little to send it over the edge.
When the Spaniards came from across the sea the Inca saw it as gods coming to them in their time of trouble. The Spaniards couldn't have picked a better time.

Poor Incas!
And what happened to the Lost City?
Don't cry, don't regret and don't blame
Weak find the whip, willing find freedom
Towards the sun, carry your name
In warm hands you are given
Ask the wind for the way
Uncertainty's gone, your path will unravel
Accept all as it is and do not blame
God or the Devil

Machu Picchu.
It wasn't discovered until the early 1900's. The Spanish invaders never discovered the city (due to it's location), and nobody ever led them there.
Both my mother and father talk to me about it (they've been there) and say it's just one of the most amazing places in the world... I, personally, cannot wait to go there.

it also looks easy to take over.
They didn't fight back against the Spanish. Remember they were tricked.Originally Posted by Mishanya

have you ever been there tone? i would love to go one day.
No, my mother and father have been though.. say it's one of the most amazing places on earth. I was just talkin to my mom and she says being in the Andes is nothing like being in the Rockies.. in the Andes everything is just so green and beautiful.
Last time I talked to my dad I told him I want to go and he said he would love to take me.. I really really want to go.. he knows the history so well - so who knows - maybe before the year is out I'll be visiting Machu Picchu!
that would be awesome.
Wanna come with us??
Tony, can I come too??!! PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAASE!??
Sombra is shexy...
