Need some advice..

Well, some background on me: Male, high schooler, getting a little too attached

Here's my story:
Now, I'm a junior in high school and I've been liking (and maybe love) this girl ever since I got to know her during freshmen year. When we first met in freshmen year, we didn't really get to know each other well, and the same with sophomore year, but we did talk a little more. I really got to know her this past year and I've really fallen for her. After much debating, I've finally decided to tell her that I loved her, only to find out that she had already found out from someone I used to consider my friend. Unfortunately, she didn't feel the same way and told me that I was only "a really good friend to her."

There's way more, but right now, I got to write some poems for English, but feel free to IM me.

Basically, all I want to know is, should I just give up completely on her (although my feelings will never change) or should I just hold on, wishing that it will work on later on?

Aww, first heartbreaks are the worst. Really, you should forget about her and move on. Save yourself from further heartache. There WILL be another girl out there for you, whether or not you believe it right now, so go find her!

Thanks for the advice, but I've been trying to give up on her for quite a while now. The problem is we're pretty good friends (and I don't think that this is the reason she refuses to get into a relationship) and its hard for me to avoid her; and everytime I see her, my hopes just go back up, while time away from her just makes me uneasy. I've done everything she's ever asked me to do. I love making her laugh, while it just kills me when I see her sad.

However, everytime I try to mention how much I love her in public, or at least among some of our closest friends (both of our friends), she gets all mad at me. There's just too much drama in high school life. I wish she would do something.. ANYTHING!

Anyways, please continue to post as I'm really interested in hearing what you guys have to say about my situation. Thanks for all that have posted and spent your time reading this.
