Ladies, have you ever just wanted to stop for a while?

My girlfriend and I have been together for 4 years, and we've always been open and comfortable with one another. As of latey though, she told me that she'd like to stop doing any kind of intimate activity for a while. She didn't say permanately, she didn't say forever, she said in the future she's sure she'd like to continue it, but for now she didn't want to engage in anything.

Have any of you ladies ever just felt like stopping for a while? I'm not talking about like a day or two either, I'm assuming the good bit of the rest of the summer.

I dont know really Ive wanted less intimate stuff in the past in favour of more communication just to rehinforce our relationship but to be honest it hardly lasted long maybe i realise if you asked her why she may get sensitive and use the ' all u want /think / care about its sex card. if you did ask her you'd have to put it delicately, but id wait and see how long it lasts, if its just a little while to communicate or strengthen the bond there's no harm in that if longer it could be an issue

That sounds exactly it. It's been like, maybe 6 or 7 days since she told me that, and tonight we were out on the patio with a fire going and she was rubbing her ass against my crotch and doing all kinds of crazy stuff. When we went to her room I picked up a Cosmo and she was talking to me about how she can't wait to try this "new thing" on me and took the Cosmo from me to show me exactly what she read.

So who knows. But I think what you said in the beginning nailed it, she just wanted reinforcement in our relationship. Things were ROUGH for the past few weeks, but within the last week they have gotten 10000000x better. Probably why she was so "playful" tonight.

Oh well im really gald I could help, I thought as much, having said that - I see my boyfriend every weekend, he lives 3 hours away so any other time is tough and he said he could see me this wednesday to which i said no. purely for space reasons even though i miss him sometimes i just need a little more room and now i cant wait to see him friday, I think everyone has their moments and it sounds like you guys are better off for it, probably helped you to build a little more trust in her and your relationship too, congrats!
