Best way to ask someone out

Hi,

I would like to know what people think is the best way to ask a girl out?

There seems to be so many possibilities these days: face to face, email, telephone, text message, etc.

I am presuming face to face is the best way?

The girl that I want to ask out I don't often see on a one to one basis (ie there are normally other people with us) so what would be the best way in this situation?

I think calling her up on the phone would be the second best to asking her face-to-face. E-mailing and texting can be cute, but they're too far removed from the intimacy you're trying to promote, IMO.

If you're serious about asking her out, face-to-face is the only way to go. Not the only way, but definetly the most effective.

Most girls are so struck by the action of you working up the bravery to ask them out that they will have a very hard time saying no.

Of course, many serious relationships start over the phone or IM. One of my best friends has been dating a girl for eleven months now whom he asked out over the phone.

But I'm a dying breed of "hopeless romantic", and I think it should always be done face-to-face.

Just my opinion/advice.
