That's weird that you have to go to court to dicscuss the fine, I've never had that before. But I do know it would serve you no good to try and lie in court. when you go in if the officer is not there, the case most likely would get dismissed if you fought it.
I know school zone fines are a lot higher than a normal speeding ticket, but I don't think it would be $500.If you can't handle the thorns, don't crave the rose!!

you should go with AT LEAST the money for the court cost. if they want to fine you tell them you don't have money and if there's any other way you can settle it.
