Hi! By the way, you would be easier to read with some periods and commas in between. But, okay for now ...

So, there is this boy and you like him (more than a friend). But he's asked out your best friend. And she accepted (which hurts you).

Anyway, I'm not sure I understand the last part of your problem. Are you feeling selfish for not wanting HER to go out with him?

I'm not sure I can give you any helpful advice, but maybe you should be aware that he probably didn't want to go out with you anyway. If he would have, he had probably asked you long before you introduced him to your friend. This might hurt even more for the moment, but if you accept that it will be easier to forgive yourself (for introducing him to your friend) as well as your friend (for going out with him even though she knew you had a crush on him).

By all means, keep your chin up! You're still young and I can assure you he's not the last (nor the most cute) boy you will fall in love.

Because i feel really bad about trying to ask her not to go out with him.

I know neither you, your friend, nor the boy. But, yes, for me it sounds like you're selfish. That's completely fine in such a situation, but you have to get over with it. Especially you should accept that she is not really taking him away from you. You didn't have him (though you might have imagined that) and thus she is not doing anything wrong (in my eyes).

I don't know, isn't it breaking some kind of friendship code to date someone your friend likes?
Anyways, its ok to feel jealous over it, but don't get overly dramatic about it; otherwise, you ruin your friendship and the guy will just end up getting freaked out that you're all hung up on him when you guys never had anything going in the first place.

Oh, I don't know much about friendship codes with regard to dating - there is no dating culture where I come from. Between the people I know it's equal chances for all until there is a relationship. And then, at least between friends, it's keeping your hands off.

Here in the USA theres a unwritten code for friends dating their x's and or people dating others when they know their friends like them. Obvioulsy theyre not true friends if they do it-but it exists!!! A lot of friendships end because of it. Ive been there.

FallenDarkAngel-you need to learn from this experience. The next you guy like-take some initiative FIRST before you run and introduce them to your friends. Then you know. In this current problem you dont have a right to be mad but understand why-I wouldve too-cause shes your friend. But it does happen. Try and be happy for them because it wont last-think of it that way-they wont be together forever-and youre gonna find a lot of guys out there!!! This will pass-
everything happens for a reason...beginning to wonder why.

I agree, dating the x of a friends is a really hot topic. I know few cases where all have been happy with that.
