I don't pity myself. I'm hurting because I lost someone I loved......how is that self-pity? Seems like most everyone else has gone through the same emotions when a breakup occurs.....

To go through the emotions is one thing; to be stuck there is another. What concrete thing are you DOING to help yourself move forward? You need to be proactive and quit allowing yourself the luxury of wallowing in the melodrama. Quit taking his calls, quit allowing yourself to wonder what she looks like or investing time trying to figure out a way to can catch a glimpse of her, quit comparing yourself to her, and DO something healthy for yourself instead. Take a class. Do some volunteer work. Take up yoga... Something.

Stop making more trouble for yourself. Get involved and step up out of all of this. If you don't take charge of your mind your going to get worse.
